I posted a new product to my store on Sunday night. Stains Tell the Story is a lesson about planning your characters clothing in a critical way. Every detail about their outfit gives a detail to the character's adventures. I blogged about it here.
I think I mentioned before that my parents are up visiting. So, we are doing some tourist-y things. We went to the WAC Bennett Dam yesterday. It's run by BC Hydro and provides 1/3 of the power for our province. They take you 500 m underground and do a big tour with hardhat and safety vest on. I took some photos, but they didn't really do it justice. It's so loud and cold and damp in there. Very interesting to see!
Today we went to the Dawson Creek Rodeo and Fall Fair. I've been before, but it's been about 5 years. The parade is amazing! It's about an hour long. Lots of great floats and so much candy!
Here's my ticket and the pepper that won the "Oddest Vegetable" category.
My parents leave on Sunday. I'm doing some babysitting Monday. Tuesday is my day to start thinking about my classroom and get things ready. If this strike business goes well, I'm back to school in just a few weeks and I am so not ready!
Go read some more Five for Friday posts over at Doodle Bugs Teaching. I love being inspired by other teachers. Have a great weekend!
It sounds like you are having a great time with your parents. There aren't many site seeing things around where I live so that is great you are able to go to fairs and other fun things with them. Enjoy your weekend!
