September Currently

Okay I know Farley is a busy gal, but I was getting impatient! I checked many times today for her September currently and I'm so happy it's finally up! I was just about ready for bed, but had to do mine too! I love the chalkboard and school pics down the side.  Cute, cute cute!

Listening: We were watching Breaking Bad.  Who else watches this show? So sad that it's nearly over!  Tonight's was shocking in a few ways.  I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't say anything else.  After it was over Ryan changed the channel to who knows what.  It's some sort of drama.  I don't know.  I'm too wrapped up in my September Currently to care!

Loving: My new classroom.  Reveal is getting posted tomorrow!  You can read more about it then.  I seriously do love it.  I enjoy just being in it.

Thinking: I should go to bed and read my book.  I need to get back on track with my sleeping pattern.  Only one day of summer vacation left.  Then it's back to waking up at 6.  Usually I ease in about a week before school.  This year, I guess I'm winging it.
And the book I'm reading? A kids book of course.
I love this series!  This is book 5.  They are hilarious.  I shouldn't enjoy them as much as I do.  I picked this one up from the book fair at the end of the year and shoved it in a box as I was moving schools.  When I unpacked my class library I found it.  There's actually about 5 or 6 new books in my class library I want to read.  There's nothing wrong with that right?

Wanting: As much as I enjoy flitting about, having tea with friends, sun tanning, and just generally doing nothing, it's time for a paycheck.  And I do miss my job and all the kiddos.  But, the tea and pajamas is a good time too.

Needing: To clean my house.  I've been putting it off for days.  Tomorrow is the day.  There are no more days left.  I also need to frost Ryan's birthday cake.  He turns 30 tomorrow!  Yikes!  We are getting waaaay too old.  He keeps saying he's going to be 29 again.  Nice try buddy.

<3: My family and friends.  I feel blessed knowing I have so many people who love me and will help me out if needed.  So lucky.
I'm pretty sure I messed this spot up. I think it was a take time for me spot. So, in that case, I'd put scrapbooking, scrapbooking and more scrapbooking.  Scrapbook date next weekend!

Well, that's me for September 1!

Come back tomorrow for my classroom reveal.

In the meantime, go to Farley's blog Oh Boy Fourth Grade and check out the rest of the currently blog hop!

  1. Hi...I found your blog through the September Currently linky. I'm in the same boat as you...I was waiting for Farley to post so that I could go ahead and make my post. I had actually written most of it yesterday anyway...knowing that I would be posting it...haha.

Oh, and I look forward to the classroom reveal. I always like garnering ideas and inspiration from others' creativity!

    1. Oooh, prewriting. That's a smart idea. Thanks for reading! :)

  2. I spent a lot of time getting my classroom ready too. One of the teachers at school last week said it "felt like home." I guess that is what I was going for...since I spend so much time there, it might as well be homey, right? Looking forward to seeing your pics!

  3. I too read a ton of children's books. I tell people it is so that I can make good recommendations to my students, but really I just enjoy them!

  4. I'm excited to have a new 4th grade blogger to follow! I have heard so many people talk about Breaking Bad! I think I'm going to have to check it out!

  5. Hi there, I kept checking yesterday too. Then when I went to bed I checked on my phone and it was there. Needless to say it waited until Monday night! hehe
